My Exam Stress Retail Therapy haul is an unforgivably pretty sight. It almost makes me wish I bought more. Or not.
Day 1
It started off innocuously enough, with a much needed mid-week lunch date with two good friends of mine. Some light-hearted banter and the usual window shopping led us to the wondrous little beauty enclave called Innisfree.

You beauties.
So simple and unassuming and yet! Look at the shade of periwinkle blue, with almost a touch of purple when it’s not under direct sunlight. My 30-odd bottles of nail polish could use such a dainty, fresh-faced sister. So in it went. (And for a mere $4! Totally worth it) The strange tool on the left is a foot buffer, used for exfoliating purposes.
You mean I can have the feet of a goddess with this? No more painful and unsightly dry heels?
It didn’t cost that much… just $11. It’s still pretty okay for stress relief!
Day 5
Paper was shit today. Life sucks. I suck. The world is ending- OH LOOK SO COLOURFUL, IT IMPLODES MY SENSES.
There’s such a thing? Temporary tattoos that look like an exact replica of the original ones? I’ve been a dedicated fan of Sashaunisex and her watercolour tattoos for ages. What’s the next best alternative to booking a flight to Moscow and getting a tat done? A SASHAUNISEX TEMPORARY TATTOO, THAT’S WHAT. To hell with the cost! It’s limited edition, a once in a lifetime opportunity, the closest I can get to her artwork on my skin. Fills in credit card number and mailing details. Submit order. Order received.

Did I really just spend a cool USD 32 (SGD 45) on temporary tattoos? Oh God.
Day 9
Every paper feels like a truck hit me. And now I’m just lying on the road while an entire row of trailers roll over my mangled body. I feel so lost, so defeated…Let me just scroll through Instagram and wallow in self-despair. Sees this:
WTF IS THIS W T F I S T H I S WHAT IS A KUEH TUTU CUSHION EVEN DOING IN EXISTENCE I MUST LAY CLAIM TO THIS TROPHY OF SINGAPOREAN-NESS.
Googles it and finds an Ang Ku Kueh Version.

Goes berserk and buys two cushions for $50.83 (UP: $29.90 each), 15% discount for first time orders.
“Don’t worry,” I tell myself, “We can use this for Chinese New Year photoshoot props!”
Day 12
Black Friday Sales! That afternoon paper isn’t getting into my way of scoring a good deal.

20% off $44.09, so I only pay $35.27. Goes ahead and sinks even deeper into this mess.
Day 14
Feels guilty. Buys gag gift for friend instead. He’s a closet alcoholic while I’m a close shopaholic. $17.43 because of 30% off (UP: 24.90)

Day 15
Cyber Monday. To be continued…
